The next Youth Council meeting is coming up! The meeting will be on Wednesday the 7th at the chapter from 6 to 7:30. It's going to be a lot of fun, so don't miss it. Don't forget about the upcoming YiES training on November 17 and 18! For your viewing pleasure, I have posted some fascinating information about the Redcross At the Orange County Chapter, we believe our young people are not only leaders of tomorrow, but they are also today's leaders. The Youth Services program is playing a major role in preparing our young people for the future through programs that emphasize education, leadership, and volunteerism. That's why we're committed to doing whatever it takes to encourage them to get involved in making our community a better, safer place to be. Each year, more than 1,000 youth participate in Red Cross Activities. Through the Red Cross Youth Council students participate at their schools
by hosting blood drives, collecting toys for the annual Holiday Project,
and participating in various volunteer outreach activities. They publish
their own monthly newsletter, Crossings on upcoming and past community
events. Representatives from Red Cross Clubs and other youth volunteers
meet monthly to plan youth activities. Whether needing hours for school or planning ahead for college, we have after-school and weekend projects. We provide fun and valuable community-minded opportunities and monthly events for all youth ages 12 to 18 years old. All programs are FREE!
